About Us

Lending West was founded by Jeff Shamus. When you get to know Jeff, you will understand the company culture at Lending West.

Jeff has always believed it is all about the customer. His commitment to taking care of customers and keeping the focus on them has proven to be a successful formula for him over the years.

Jeff started his career in Silicon Valley in sales and marketing working for Memorex and Altos Computers and then moved to Sonoma County to start his own company.

In 1994 he co-founded HealthPro Solutions and through his direction, grew the company from his garage to 85 employees and $11 million in sales. When HealthPro became the nationwide industry leader, Jeff sold to WebMD and went into semi-retirement.

Unable to sit still (and driving his wife crazy), Jeff went to help The National Scrip Center (NSC), a non-profit, fundraising organization, working in the capacity of Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. After 2 years of re-tooling the customer support, marketing and new product development areas, Jeff negotiated the sale of NSC to another fundraising organization.

Jeff then entered into the home loan business in the 2003 and ultimately founded Lending West, a full service mortgage bank and brokerage. Not surprisingly, Lending West is quickly becoming the first choice for home loans in Northern California.

On the personal side, Jeff and his wife, Trisha, have been married for 18 years and are raising their teenagers in beautiful Sonoma County. Jeff plays guitar and sings in the church band, coaches youth sports, and is working on his golf game.
