Our Loan Process

The mortgage process can be a big hassle. There are complicated forms to complete, and it can be a very stressful time for borrowers…UNLESS you are working with Lending West.

We have created and perfected a “hassle-free”, step-by-step, system that takes all the guesswork and stress out of home loans.

Most of our loans work like this:

Step 1. Quick Mortgage Review

The first step is to have a Mortgage Consultant look at your particular situation and see what type of loan is right for you. Based on your employment situation, your credit, and the value of your home, we will discuss what options you have, and what makes sense for you.

This process takes 5 - 10 minutes and is normally done over the phone

Step 2. Easy Application

If a new home loan or refinance makes sense for you, we will ask you for some additional information over the phone, and give you a pre-approval usually that same day. In many cases we can lock in a low interest rate immediately, which can save you a bundle in a rising interest rate market!

Then WE will fill out that ugly loan application and send it to you with clearly mark the places for you to sign. You sign and send it back in the postage paid envelope provided.

If there is any additional paperwork we need (pay stubs, W-2, bank statements, etc…) we will let you know at that time, and you can include it in the package back to us.

Step 3 Behind the Scenes Work

At this point we are working behind the scenes on many different aspects of the loan. We are opening escrow, ordering an appraisal, and preparing the documents for underwriter review, just to name a few.

Step 4. You're Approved!

Once our underwriter reviews and approves your application, a few additional loan conditions may be requested. We would contact you at this point to help us gather these additional documents.

Step 5. Sign at Home!

Don’t go to that stuffy title company where everyone wears ties and they make you sit in the lobby forever. Sign all the paperwork at YOUR kitchen table.

One of our friendly representatives will come to your home or office, and at a convenient time for you. You can sign all the paperwork right there, keep your copies, and it is done!

Step 6. The Loan is Funded

Within a week or less, your loan is funded.

Note: Not all loans work exactly like this - this is a simplified example of the loan process you can expect when working with Lending West. Also note that it is really not this simple! In fact we are usually working diligently behind the scenes making sure everything goes as smoothly as possible for you. We solve the many challenges along the way, making it as painless and hassle-free for you.
